The quarry is located in the area of Granitis, Drama Northern Greece, a well-known area for its white marble deposits, built in the Valley of Granitis River, at an altitude of 789 meters. Quarrying operations started in 2016 as a result of an extensive research program and is expected to run in full operation in 2017, with an estimated annual production of 30,000 tons in marble blocks.
